Getting Started + Cost

Before starting the process of clearing your record or seeking permission to enter the U.S.A., it is important to understand what is needed in your particular situation.

You are unique

What you were charged with, when you went to court, what the court decided, and your personal situation, such as immigration or job circumstances, will determine what you should be doing and the order in which it should be done.

Additional Support Provided:

Employment & Immigration Support Letters

Employment and immigration problems may be corrected with the assistance of support letters from Pardons Canada. A support letter can go a long way in showing that you have changed and improved your behaviour. In many cases the occurrence was an isolated event or during a difficult period in your life.

Additionally, Pardons Canada will be able to confirm that you are eligible to have your record destroyed or sealed and when this will be successfully completed. There are no costs or fees charged for supporting letters.

Referrals to other Organizations

If applicable, counsellors will refer you to other community and government help organizations, such as women's centres, ethnic associations, and addiction rehabilitation clinics.

Walk-in Center

Everyone is welcome to visit our all day walk-in clinic without an appointment. It may be necessary to wait up to 10 minutes before seeing a counsellor.

Costs of Pardons, Purges and File Destructions

Pardons Canada can undertake all necessary steps and procedures for removing your criminal record, including: Pardons, Purges, and File Destructions. You will be responsible to pay the cost of your file.

It is easy for us to help you. We will get your fingerprints and photos "Certified", collect police & court records; all of which belong to you as we are using your money to pay the police, court, RCMP & National Parole Board. The end result is that everything will be cleared and you will receive proof in writing.

Using our terminals, we will find the exact details of your file. Your (pardon / purge / file destruction) file will cost $460 + $60 = $520 for a "certified" fingerprint search and destruction.

If you decide to make your file URGENT, there is an OPTIONAL additional $120 cost as we handle URGENT files differently in our office. All costs include GST.

Depending on your decision, your total will be $520 or $640 ( if you choose "URGENT" )

You never actually owe us any money - we just use your money to pay for everything. Ultimately, if you can pay the whole thing off within 2-3 months, you will not be slowing us down and a minimum of $200 is required. Even better, if you can comfortably afford the whole amount, it is best if you can pay it all NOW- to save the potential disadvantage of slowing us down if your paperwork is coming in ahead of schedule.

Payment may be made be VISA, MASTERCARD, or you may mail a "regular" cheque (not necessary to certify it) or money order payable to Pardons Canada (A local police check is required at the end for pardons ONLY, which is approximately $20 to $40 - ignore this for now, and we will notify you later if it becomes necessary). We will initiate and get a file number and you will receive a receipt within 6 business days (in a plain white envelope).

U.S.A. Entry Waivers & U.S.A. Visa with Entry Waiver

Special advance permission is needed to enter the U.S.A. Depending on your immigration and citizenship status, you will either require an entry waiver or a visa with a built in entry waiver. Pardons Canada can undertake to do all necessary steps and procedures on your behalf.
